About

Łukasz Gutowski graduated from Military University of Technology in 2020. During his studies he worked on synthesis of energetic compounds, especially containing heterocyclic high nitrogen content aromatic rings and determining their detonation properties. He had an individual course of his M.Sc. study at the Faculty of Advanced Technologies under supervision of Dr. Szala. During his PhD research he carried out synthesis of thermally stable explosives being 2,2’-bibenzimidazole and benzo[c]cinnoline-5-oxide nitro derivatives. He was also involved in realization of the project concerning on development of novel propellant for 120 mm tank ammunition. He was also a scholar financed by NATO Emerging and Security Challenges Division. In addition, he worked in Geomicrobiology Laboratory located at Faculty of Geology, Warsaw University where he was a member of the group investigating adaptation of E. coli and Bacillus cereus bacteria in presence of ionic liquids.
